This study aims to develop and evaluate a practical way of measuring biological rhythms in healthy adults during everyday life using wearable devices. Biological rhythms include changes that occur over hours, days, and longer timescales, and they are important for sleep, metabolism, cardiovascular function, temperature regulation, and general wellbeing.
We will use wearable devices and brief diary entries to study these rhythms over several weeks in real-world settings. We also want to explore whether changing when people eat and drink, rather than what they eat, may be associated with changes in physiological rhythms. To do this, participants will complete an observational monitoring phase for 4 weeks, followed by 4 weeks of an optional food-timing intervention, then up to 4 weeks of post-intervention monitoring.
We are looking for volunteers to wear our sensors. Most people can volunteer as long as they are 18+, are in good health, and are able to wear some wearable sensors.
